NZ Mapped
The popular New Zealand Mapped software used rasterised versions of 1:50,000 scale maps from Land Information New Zealand and a vector-based drawing layer to allow for route plotting and labeling of points of interest. Installation into Windows 98 and Windows XP systems were simple with the option to either run the program directly from the CD/DVD or install it onto the hard drive.
Now, ten years after the last software upgrade of the NZ Mapped series, PolyMEDIA no longer exists so cannot support the mapping software. Existing users wishing to upgrade their operating system to recent versions may encounter issues. This is unfortunate but unavoidable - there would have been no way for PolyMEDIA to predict how these products would work on future versions of Windows like Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008. If existing users need to keep using the New Zealand Mapped products it may be possible to run an XP window within Window 7 as seen at this Microsoft site.
The latest version of RouteTrace (which is an update of NZ Mapped and NZ Mapped Marine) is available on our download server.
