Web Applications

Web applications are differentiated from corporate websites by the inclusion of line-of-business transactional activity.  Think of a web application as a website that you log onto to get something done.  We have been creating large scale transactional web applications for over 12 years, and regularly work on systems supporting thousands of concurrent users and millons of important documents.

Building a web application requires a different approach to a corporate website.  Customers trust the web application to deliver a service and expect their information to be secure and always available.  The need for security and reliability is increased, especially when eCommerce is involved.  The user interface becomes more important when a website becomes a place to work, rather than a place to visit.

Web applications are almost always supported by a SQL relational database.  We use advanced code generation techniques to power an agile development methodology.  We understand the issues raised by high load and any requirement to pass external system audit.
