This is to address a number of constraints Salesforce has around email delivery:

  1. Emails cannot be tracked
  2. Only 1000 emails per day can be sent
  3. There is no "effectiveness" reporting available

We have added a "Send to Sitecore ECM" button on Salesforce Campaigns to enable emails to be pushed by a custom outbound message to a webservice hosted in Sitecore.


Clicking on the Send to Sitecore ECM button open a new Visualforce page that enables the user to select the email template.

Clicking on the Send button pushes the Campaign members to Sitecore where they become a target audience available for use with Sitecore's rich email feature set.
